Activities:
Fishing- The campground is located along Penns Creek which is noted as one of the best trout streams in the Northeast. A short drive takes you to the catch and release area or you can fish right on the edge of the campground. The stream is stocked by the state and also by the local sportsmens club. Spring to Memorial Day is the best time for trout and the famous Green Drake hatches in late May. Warmer water gets the small mouth bass active and when the water cools down in the fall it's back to trout. Brook, Browns and Rainbows are waiting for your spinner, worm or fly.
Hiking - Central Pennsylvania and the Bald Eagle State Forrest contain some of the best hiking trails in the east. The famous Midstate Trail is just a short distance away. Stop by the office and pick up a map of the trails in the area.
Antiques and Flea Markets - Many of the small towns in the area have quaint antique shops and flea markets. The Susquehanna Valley Visitors Bureau in Lewisburg has quite a listing and direction to get to them.
